This. How are they “closed” exactly- like roped off ?
In my area we are in phase 1 and the fields are open-
just not for organized practices like full teams (I think the limit is 6 people or similar)
Kids and families can play or work out in smaller groups under that limit- it is outside, after all. First come, first served.
Seems to work fine.
I was at Langley High School since last Friday for my daily run on the high school track and I notice:
1- I see multiple groups of teenagers, less than 8, either play football or soccer on the football field (inside the track),
2- I see multiple multiple teenagers running on the high school track,
3- a few people playing soccer on the grass field right next to the high school running track,
4- There are people practice hitting on the baseball field,
There are school security folks and police cars patrol the school from time to time. I asked them about currently policy that athletic field is being closed. They said that the rule is stupid and they will not enforce the rule, as long as the group has less than 10 people.
Yes, they did say that NO organized practices like full teams. Anything less than 10 is a OK.
