Don't stress out about it. Because of COVID, it is unclear when the ECNL season will start and it is possible that it will be a throw away year anyway. You can try out with ECNL clubs after the season starts. Coaches normally save a couple of spots for impact outside players to come in the middle of the season. If your son is a borderline ECNL player, he may be better off with a lower level team (e.g. top team in non-ECNL club or a second team in the ECNL club), where he will get more playing time. ECNL teams generally have larger rosters than regular teams and starters get more playing time than players that come off the bench. If he is not getting sufficient playing time, it will hinder his development.

My DD didn’t get an offer From a top team after being invited to practice with them for a month, no email was ever sent.

They usually talk to you after a practice. The coach will give you some idea if they are interested and what team they think your kid would join. Did they do that?

You should reach out. Many players are not renewing because of COVID so many clubs are desperate to fill the spots on travel teams, particularly in the younger age groups.

You need to contact the club. Send an email to both the coach and TD. Incase it was a mistake, or an over sight. This is unprofessional and needs to be corrected. For the most part addressed.

100% you should have already reached out to them or kept in communication during this off period.

Yes is unprofessional this is why this club is not even in the 100 best clubs in the US. Poor management and the worst costumer service, one guy decides who coaches, who makes the team, who plays and who doesn’t, who goes to YNTC and probably same guy may clean the toilets (who knows).

But you're technically an outside player so possibly they haven't offered to outside players yet? At any rate i would have emailed a long time ago. Some places aren't allowed to reach out to you first but you can reach out to them.
