It’s almost certainly a head start program. That is what the Rosemary Hills PK class is.

Mcps Prek programs are for families who qualify financially. As far as I know, the only 2 elementary schools in the BCC cluster with Prek classrooms are Rock Creek Forest (full day) and Rosemary Hills (2 half day classes). Families who live in an area with a different home school, like Bethesda, will be assigned to one of them if they qualify for Prek.

On the at-a-glance, there is 1 "PreK" class listed, but that designation is for all programs for students prior to kindergarten. Prekindergarten is a class offered to students on income basis, and it is not at BE. The "PreK" class at BE is a PEP class for pre-school age special ed students.

Many MCPS schools have Prekindergarten, Head Start, and now Pre-K Plus, but eligibility is based on income.

You are wrong about no other schools having it. Wood acres does as well. As others have said, it is a PEP class.

Wood Acres DEFINITELY does not have Prek

My second grader is learning subject verb agreement and which word to place the "s" on. You should join his online class!

OP not sure I'd Bethesda has it but all of the pre-k in this area/ moco are for special education students. Otherwise if this fits your situation i would i do not see them on the list.

Clearly you are new to DCUMs. The poors is used frequently on this website.

No. Former BE parent, but I live right there and now they haven’t added any preK.
