An email saying thank you, and whatever else you would like to convey.

I think even a card or in this situation a ecard or video saying thank you goes a long way.

I THINK this is more appropriate...

I’m a teacher and the parents in my room really went all out for Teacher Appreciation. I would not want them to have to do anything for end of year. No need for end of year gift, especially during this time. We are all at our limits.

Those both sound like great ideas to me! Obviously you are NEVER obligated to give anything, and you shouldn't give if it is hardship for you. But kind gifts are always fun to get!

I'm not being thoughtless I'm being thoughtful, enough to worry about in these stressful and difficult times many parents out of work while at least teachers have been paid, I don't think it is anything to stress or worry about. If you want to do something do so, but no need for endless posts on what to get teachers as we usually see at this time of year. I always feel for all the other staff at the school who don't get anything but also contribute to the culture and no at some schools it becomes a competition.

What is this obsession with this, never understood and I'm a teacher. So many others out of work, dead, etc I just think its time to knock this on the head once and for all!

Because we're not cold-hearted and callous. I'd like to show gratitude for the all the work that our teachers have put in this year despite terrible circumstances.

I get it I'm a teacher but still don't understand it...

At our charter, our class organized via email a contribution of money, and we got a big Amazon’s e-gift card for the teacher and teachers aid and gave it to them during teachers appreciation week as a combo appreciation and end of year.

Donations from parents were voluntary and e-gift was from whole class.
