I have owned both. Currently have the Highlander and love it - drives less like an SUV than the Pilot (which lasted 11 years btw). If you need the third row on a regular basis, however, the Pilot wins. We don't use the 3rd row as much now that a kid can sit up front, so the Highlander wins for that. But they are both great cars.

I did the same thing in 2018 and went with the pilot, for exactly what PP said about the legroom in the pilot in the third row. Still love it!

I went with Pilot over Highlander because of the third row legroom. Pilot's is WAY better.

Toyota at this time. Not sure Honda quality is what it once was, though still better than many.

How much room do you need in the third row? I have three kids, so the third row is important for me. The Honda Pilot is roomier in the third row.

Anyone have a preference? We're looking this weekend and trying to choose between these two. TIA.
