No real difference between the live classes and doing them later. If you want to have more people to high five on the leaderboard or race against in real time, then do the live classes, but there are always lots of people on lots of the classes at any time so there will always be other people doing them whenever you do them. I hardly ever do live classes because the whole benefit of the peloton is not having to be there at a specific time. Also there are so many recorded classes that you can be picky about music, instructor, length of class, type of class, etc and so there is usually something I'd rather be doing than whatever live class is on.
Also they now have Peloton in Germany, with 2 instructors there (most of their classes are in German but some are in English), so you will find others riding with you at all hours of the day CET.
