do you have the link to the msysa guidelines? I talked to several parents on my DD team; and was informed only 3 people have registered for the 2020/2021 season. My DD is on the B team and our deadline to commit is May 29th. Do you think I should just pass on registration or take a chance that we might have a season and enough for a B team?

Note that their phases are not Maryland's stages. Check out the thread titled msysa on pg 2.

Dont sign up if you are expecting fall games. Likely only fall practices and hopefully spring games. If you're okay with that.. then go!

I agree as to "no fall games", but you will have practices depending on field available or another season of zoom and soccer apps. I'm just curious about field availablity considering the modified soccer is 10 people on each half of the field with a 15 minute break in between each practices.

I don't think field availability will be an issue. And if there's no games weekends may be extra time to practice. But if you're that stressed about it possibly play it safe hold off and do rec and join in January. Especially if youre on the fence about the money. Honestly no one knows what the details will be. It's truly a gamble regarding practices and how many and how long...also consider your leagues refund policy..if any. Mine had none.

We have decided to wait for winter/spring. If the club decides not to roster DD in the spring, then I'm pretty sure there's other clubs in the area looking to fill their rosters.

Thanks for the update. You really can't go wrong with that choice. She can do rec practices in fall if she chooses.

EDP is heavier in MD so my guess is that i will be zero chance. MD is much stricter than VA with the back to norm process.

EDP has provided three schedule options: May 15, June 1, June 13.

May 15 has passed. June 1 is impossible. Even June 13 is highly unlikely as counties like Montgomery are still be lock down with no reopen date given.

Even state/county allow it, some teams may have trouble to find enough players.

For EDP, I don't know. It's possible. 40/60 they have a season.

For EDP Leagues, each of the state associations' return to play policies are being reviewed, and a final decision on the spring leagues will be announced by May 29. Considering a lot of clubs have already cancelled their spring season, how confident are you that EDP will have a summer league?
