If a VA team plays all six southern teams, then that is just 18 games total. How will ECNL manage the last two games? Is it true that ECNL will allow VA teams to schedule MD ECNL teams?
It certainly gets trickier with different HS seasons between MD and VA.
ECNL became a very pro HS Soccer league when it suited them and it will find it hard to back out now over Division realignment issues. So the only real way for MD and VA to play against each other is during the winter, when kids are also likely playing HS winter sports.
They could have solved this by adding the DA clubs in the area, but ECNL is gonna ECNL
Not all ECNL teams are doing HS soccer. NC Courage and CSA are on a 10-month training schedule, HS soccer not allowed per directors.....will find outside-the-conference games or friendlies to play during Spring.

Both new teams were generally in the top half across all age groups in SE conference of GDA, with NC Courage being the stronger of the two. Barring any major roster movements, I would expect they will both be very competitive in ECNL MA.
I don't have an any concrete info, but I don't expect ECNL to split the MA conference north/south this year per se. I think we will see an unbalanced schedule this year to ease travel/COVID issues, with VA teams playing each other more, and NC/SC teams doing the same. Once we get past this COVID business, I would expect the normal conference schedule to occur. Even with ECNL's additions to groups teams more regionally, the MA conference is still one of the most tightly grouped conferences geographically.
Next year is another thing entirely, who knows what could happen then. ECNL will no doubt expand again next year.
I think question was about boys. VDA and Arlington.
