swing ball is inexpensive and doesn't take that much space.
We got a blow up pool that is big enough but not super deep, and then the kids use tubes to play bumper cars.
If you can get a slide, then put a sprinkler near it so the kids can slide down it while in the sprinkler.
One year we built a wattle fort (kids and I) by using branches that had been trimmed from the tree. You just shove branches in the ground and then weave the others through them for the walls, heading inward so you end up totally covered, sort of like an A frame house. The kids used it as a nerf gun fort.
Same with putting a tent up in the backyard - great nerf gun fort.

How big is your yard? Friends of ours have a zip line and love it, but our yard is too small. Soccer goal and ball, small playhouse, small picnic table, and water table have all been popular at our house over the years. I’ve seen several neighbors with tents in their yards and think I will do the same soon.

PP here. Backyard camping was always a thing we did when mine was smaller. It was also a great test run for camping trips.

Slip n slide...jarts...
Ok, just kidding about the jarts. Is a swing set an option for you?
An old school play-in-the-sprinkler day can be fun.
How old are your kids, OP?

With the prospect of many canceled camps, I'm looking for ways to enhance backyard fun.
Would love to hear ideas -- we don't have a pool or a trampoline. Aside from those, what fun, active equipment/things might be good additions?
