This seems like a pretty responsible way of handling a bad situation.

They sent out an email a little bit ago.

our $100 registration fee per camper will be applied as a credit towards Summer 2021.
Your deposits and remaining balance on your account will now be eligible for:
a refund
a credit towards 2021
a 100% tax-deductible donation to Congressional Camp

They are holding limited capacity on campus camp. 6 week session only. Kids will only interact with their small group and same counselor the entire time.

It’s not happening and they’re trying to figure out how to avoid financial ruin. The camps/schools dragging their feet are those with financial issues.

They said back on 4/30 that they expected to send their next update today, 5/15. It's not the end of the day yet, be patient.

I get being anxious for an answer, but as someone who is also anxiously awaiting an answer, I'd rather than they made a good decision than a fast decision. Waiting a little longer isn't going to change my planning for the summer, what else would I do with that information right now?

Still no word from them. I understand there are a lot of moving parts, but for those of us with limited resources and essential in-office jobs, it's very disappointing that they have left us hanging like this. Especially because we have no clarity as to what their refund policy will be.
