Things will be different when a lot more people recover and donate plasma. And there are well established measures in place to prevent and/or treat many of the serious complications.

I don't but I simply dont see any other option. A vaccine is not a option yet and very well not be. You cannot quarantine forever hoping that one comes about.

Yes, that's TOTALLY what that person said. Because we can't discuss relative risk of complications for various demographic groups without being called callous.

You realize you can have the virus and not test positive, if it's early in the virus course, right?

So a test isn't a guarantee either. If you're looking for a guarantee, you're better off just keeping your kid out until there's a vaccine.

I think until there is a rapid test that the kids can take every am at drop off the risk is too high for me.

I don't know what precautions those centers had been taking.

Our center hasn't had any problems. They have been taking a ton of precautions. I know nothing is perfect, but knock on wood that we haven't had issues so far.

True. But it also means we will not be hugging or coming near our grandparents for a long long time. That's a sad thought for me and my kiddo.

Do you attend there or are you just assuming because it hasn’t been on the news? Sick parents and siblings wouldn’t be considered an outbreak at a center, even if a kid brought it home. It would have to be multiple children and teachers testing positive.

The NOVA daycare near us has been open this whole time and hasn’t had any issues. I wonder if it’s just luck or they have more precautions in place.

Two centers in CO are reporting outbreaks as soon as they were allowed to re open. I’m afraid we will see more of this as states re open.
