I did this multiple times and this one kid (whose parents are both working in ICUs) kept coming over to my kids. His grandma was watching him and not saying anything. So finally after my kids responded that they were listening to me I just talked to the other kid and reminded him of our rules. But honestly he’s so difficult to deal with that we’ve just stopped going outside when he’s there.

My kids both had to say it themselves while out walking the dog, because some kids were running up to them and getting in their faces.

I think you can just say to your own kids, so the other kids can hear, "make sure to stay 6 feet apart!" That sends the message without really directly disciplining other people's kids.

I wouldn’t really care if you said it to my kid but I do think in public social distancing works both ways and if you want more room you can also move.

I get that it’s hard with kids - I would care if someone said to my kid - we are social distancing so we like to be a little farther etc.

Totally, 100% fine to say it. And empower your kids to do the same. If the parents or kids get upset, well ... too bad. This is a real pandemic and people are, you know, DYING.

Yes, I remind other children to move apart when they get too close. My child tries, but he can't help it if someone is following him or trying to use his toys. I hate it, but it is what it is.

No. If other people won't parent their kids in a way that affects you or your kids, then you need to do it. If the other parents don't want you to tell their kids to back up then they should do it.
