We accepted. There was a deposit but they won’t charge any more until we know more in the fall. They have zoom practice all the time with the coach and team and it’s wonderful - it’s the 4-6 hours a week where my daughter is engaged with friends and is enhancing her skills and fitness. Most of her team is coming back - with everything else in flux, I appreciate the consistency!

We haven't received the offer yet but plan on accepting. I do thinks there will be some practices and scrimmage in the fall but no real games. My daughter enjoys it and we can afford it. This is new territory for everyone. The club does want to hold practice and games and tournament, it's out of their hand what they can do and can't do.

In order to possibly having some practices and what not, they do require people to work on it and coordinating. If you want the full refund, it would mean these folks would be working for free and pay out of their own pockets for any costs incurred during the process.

If your kids want to play and you can afford then go for it. If not, then take a season off. Everyone is different.

People, don't commit without the guarantee of refunds.

Everyone learnt their lesson in March. Don't complain you weren't warned.

You could in theory fit under 50 or less people at a youth game in VA's phase 2.

hmmm, isn't phase 2, 10 or less??

we get it -- tsk, tskm how dare we contemplate the future. Do you work at the DMV? Or the IRS? Please.

Yep but I do not think any state is following phases. Come June it will be back to practice for super y with lots of pressure from the club to sign up and pay. The clubs will say they are using super y to replace tryouts.

Not true. Most clubs are making offers to their existing players in May without any tryouts. As for Super Y, it "has announced its 2020 regular season will not open before July 1, 2020, with exact start dates also dependent on local, state and national health guidelines. In conjunction with the league’s member clubs, the months of May and June will be used to determine an updated return-to-play timeline as well as competition formats for each division." We will commit only if the club revises their waiver to include a refund clause due to COVID will be given if no fall season. Tech Futbol and zoom is not worth the heavy price tag $$$$..

This was our first year. While I think our kids enjoyed it, if the club isn’t willing to give 100% refund for the fall session, we won’t sign up. I’m not risking the thousands of dollars for the possibility of 30 minute zoom sessions. Our kids are mid-elementary and we were joining primarily for the team aspect, not to be soccer players

Our club is not requiring commitments yet, but all returning players guaranteed a spot and we plan on returning.

I'm "committing" and hoping it will happen. If it doesn't, the club is being flexible about $$.

I'm reading about a lot of clubs sending out commitment letters for the upcoming 2020/2021 season. However, I'm also reading a lot of people believe there will be no fall 2020 soccer season. I would like to know how many parents are going to take the chance of committing or keeping their kids out for the upcoming season.
