I’m in upper Montgomery County. I think I just need a sitter, someone to keep my daughter occupied and having fun, not necessarily a nanny. Thanks everyone!

We are in Moco and pay $15 an hour for a college frshman. She has babysat for us since since HS over the summer part time. We pay in cash and have one kid. You are going to pay more for a Nanny.
Figure out what you need, if you just want someone to do fun things with your kids and provide childcare I think a sitter is fine.
If you want someone with a degree in early childhood education with years of experience or you have SN kids then look for a Nanny but be prepared to pay more.

You can probably find a college kid for $18-$20 full time.

It would actually be helpful if you can post a general location. I'm outside the Beltway a bit in southern Alexandria, and pay quite a bit less for our great nanny than friends in NW DC. Down here I've seen costs usually ranging from $18-$25/hr for 1-2 kids (for a nanny the employer taxes are then on top of that).

I’m totally new to this, but my summer camp just closed and I will need a full time nanny or babysitter this summer. What’s the going rate? I have no idea what to offer. I’m guessing an experienced nanny will earn more than a college kid, but how much? Any help would be appreciated.
