Ummmm, baaaaad move.

Not if the MLS goes under.

Then they get into ECNL later. But ECNL boys is well behind and their only chance to be the best boys league is for MLS to go under.

But, hey, cheer for our best pro league to go belly up to prop up a youth league.

Well Richmond is the birthplace of “All In” so that makes sense.

I would have thought Arlington would have made it in though.

I wish all of them the best of luck. I am not sure they would have made the cut, but they are both really good clubs and they will continue to be good if they can retain their DA coaches as they go to ECNL. I'd just like all of them to test themselves outside ECNL when the time comes - hopefully they won't mind the challenge of playing really good teams close to home. That goes for all of these clubs.

MLS was taking all former DA clubs with some in tier 1 and the rest in tier 2. Don't see MLS clubs being subjected to any Pro/Rel between tiers, so once established it would tough to get out of tier 2 if tier 1 clubs are stealing talent.

Maybe they questioned the MLS commitment long-term to running this league.

I doubt they would have gone to ECNL if MLS was still on the table.

Official invites from the MLS went out to the invited clubs on Friday or over the weekend. The announcement is coming very soon, but they may be waiting to get all of the acceptances before they release the full list. It’s a done deal. League games will start the weekend after Labor Day. Pre-season scrimmages are being set up already.
