Not worth it, and I will talk to employer about it. Options are talking to boss, ask ob or family doctor to write a note, take unpaid leave, start taking pto, take family emergency leave or etc.

It easy for me to say because I just donated to a Go Fund Me for a pregnant healthcare worker who contracted Covid19. She had to be taken off the ventilator so they could take the baby early who was distress. During that time the mother llost oxygen to her brain and is now in a rehab center. She will never regain full cognitive abilities and family had to fight to get insurance to cover her rehab.

So hell yeah it’s easy for me to say it’s not worth the risk!!

Talk to your OB but I don’t think they will want you to return to work. I’ve been laying low the last few weeks to minimize the risk and I’m delivering this week at 37 weeks.

I am wondering if anyone is in the same boat and what they will do about it.

I work as a tech in a hospital clinic, which will be opening up next week and am expected to return to work. Since it's in a hospital, we will have full PPE, which is comforting. I'll be 35 weeks pregnant at that point, so worried both about getting sick and also about the general strain, since ramping back up is definitely going to be more stressful than a typical week and much more stressful than a time that I had planned to be ramping down. Anyone else going back to work shortly before their due date and thinking about how to navigate it?
