He is done school in 2 weeks and then has a month before summer school starts. The tooth isn’t causing any pain but it does need to be removed. The oral surgeon is open for business again. Should I just go ahead and have it done?

He has the x-ray in late August so we are closing in on a year since then. Spring Break was the only time he had off school for long enough to recover and not miss school. Now he will have a month where he has nothing at all to do.

Long story short...Friend’s daughter had it done and had serious complications involving a bone infection requiring multiple surgeries and going to the hospital for months to be hooked up on some machine several days a week...she was 17. At one point they thought she wouldn’t make it. It’s very rare but I would not risk it during the pandemic.
