Subject: Why do I have baby fever?!
I'm 41 with a 5yo and 1yo and I look at the "baby" and think how much fun it would be to have another. But at my age it would just be too much in many ways, my ship for #3 has sailed.

Subject: Why do I have baby fever?!
When my kids were 2 and 4 I really wanted another but DH did not. We didn’t attempt and I’m actually so glad we didn’t. They are 10 and 12 now and I love having freedom to leave the house when I need, etc. I’m sure I would have loved any baby that came along, but I also don’t regret staying as a family of 4. It’s easier in many ways!

Nature making you want to reproduce combined with the feeling of a closing door means that there is always a tendency to err of the overdose side when on edge....
And it is not true that you will necessarily regret it. A few friends who were tempted in having a third did not go for it either because their husbands was not on board or it was not sensible financially, paused and they say the urge goes way and they are delighted with the family that they have.

I have a 2.5 year old and 4 year old. I don’t feel done but I’m so far beyond the newborn phase it scares me to have another. My husband feels very done. I may regret it in the future but since I feel happy with 2 I think we’re done.

I just had the feeling that I was not done having kids and my DH felt the same, but we were too scared to start all over again. Also, I had just started a new job... well we took a chance one drunken night and my son was born 6 months later. He is awesome, life is super hard with a 14 month old and 6.5 year old and a 4.5 year old, but I am so happy! And definitely done... DH got a vasectomy since I get pregnant all the time very fast.

Same except my kids are 2 and 4. I just can’t stop. In fact, the entire time I was pregnant with#2 and was a newborn I kept thinking this won’t be the last time.
Toddlers are really kicking my ass. Every day is so hard!! But I do think that when my oldest is in kindergarten it would all change and get easier. And my almost 2 year old will be easier.
So my advice is to either go for it or get a puppy
