I'm waiting to hear from our overnight camp. DS is signed up for three weeks and then we were going to do a combination of a summer sitter and grandparents. This is now all up in the air and we will figure it out once we hear from the camp.

Ever Wonder in Arlington cancelled all their camps, but they are doing a really cool thing and offering themed camp kits. DS did their winter break camp and loved it so I will likely end up buying some of these. They look really fun and they're including all the supplies which is awesome.

They are offering contactless pick-up and delivery every week.

Yes, I would not mind having a shorter day to accommodate everyone. If they can take 10 kids in the am and 10 in the afternoon or something like that so they can keep them distanced

Virtual camp seems silly. I can line up YouTube videos and documentaries and friend Zoom sessions. What value can camp possibly add for kids this young?

Camps are all reaching out to their customers promising to open if they can, but I think that's a pretty big "if." Outdoor camps might have a higher shot of actually running than, say, basketball camp in a gym. But I'm not sure there will be ton of options there.

Good thing is that some of the smaller camps can offer different options. So instead of a full week of full day tennis camp, maybe they offer half day sessions or a sibling lesson package at 10 am every day for a week.

My fingers are crossed.

Are they really up and running? Most are going online virtual camp.

Yeah, uh, that is false. They are not "up and running."

There are many teachers who are looking for summer work now, too.

Where do you live? I would hire high school or college babysitter who can drive.

No idea about camps. Right now camp Sonshine is saying they are hoping to open, it’s outdoors so there’s hope.

Hire a college kid to entertain them.
