Agree. It’s not the people you negotiate against that are at fault if the deal is bad for your side...it’s our negotiating team. Get better negotiators. Go get a better contract when you have the ability to. Stick to your guns and commit to that.

Sure they need to honor the current contract and then renegotiate...
But
Women and their work have been intrinsically undervalued for all of history. The idea of parity is new, and will take decades to correct. I don’t blame any women for becoming infuriated at the injustice of that.
That has nothing to do with this case. They were a bunch of whiny brats trying to renegotiate their contracts through the media with deceitful tactics. Such a nasty, entitled lot.

Gee, who'd ever though that you'd have to live up to the contracts that you fairly negotiated and signed. I remember back when there was such a big stink about the pay discrepancy between the men's and women's teams, yet it came to light how radically different the men's vs. women's contracts were, and how different men's vs. women's soccer is. Sick and tired of entities and people demanding special treatment because they have some sort of special identity that supposedly grants them bonus points. Um, no, how about you live up to the contract you negotiated and signed in the first place? Stop blaming your crappy negotiating tactics and negotiators on the men's team. The women also get a massive amount of perks and other special benefits on the side that go completely ignored in these debates (ahem, like healthcare for women an no healthcare for men). Glad this judge has the common sense to make the women's team live up to the contract they willingly signed under no duress. Sorry, but having a vagina doesn't magically grant you the ability to weasel your way out of a contract you legally signed. Live up to what you signed. End of story.
