Space match is great and easier for younger kids to play too.

What games would be good?

Op here. We do have a marble run that we like to play with as parents but she’s not that interested in it.

I do see some 100 piece puzzles for kids that I’ll get.

His 3YO brother can disrupt things but we just find a way for him to participate, and he usually loses interest quickly anyway. For example, with Sorry, we just let him move his pieces where ever he wants, knowing that he's not really part of the game and will lose interest. With card games, we deal him a couple of cards and then give him more from the discard pile.

Games we like:
-UNO
-Crazy 8's
-Sorry
-Hoot Owl Hoot (cooperative)
-Sneaky Snacky Squirrel
-Zingo
-Guess Who
-Chess
-Checkers
-Connect 4

PP here and another tip for the younger sibling is to set her up with a game or activity that she really likes, at the same table.

Our 3 year old (moderate puzzle lover) is big into Candy Land and a few of the games HABA makes (My First Orchard, Bubble Bath Bunny, Here Fishy Fishy) I don't think they're games an older kid would like, but they work with one parent and a kid. She also likes wooden train sets and Magnatiles. Not sure that's related to her puzzle love, but she does them in very similar ways, i.e. making a Magnatile house, knocking it down, then building an almost identical house.

Wooden train track is very puzzle-like

Legos are too difficult at that age- try the oversized Duplo or whatever they are called.

Wooden building Blocks. We made large ones out of 2x4s cut up, sanded. Nice.

Modeling clay is great for advancing dexterity.

Spot it (or spot it junior) could work with the younger ones depending how much younger. Perfection (if he can handle time pressure.)

Definitely marble runs-they’re basically a design your own 3D puzzle.

Yep to marble runs.

My 4 year old puzzle lover (who is 10 now and still doesn't like lego) started doing 500 pc puzzles at age 6!

At 4 most things to do with words, letters or numbers. He liked maze books and kids rush hour kind of stuff. But mostly marble runs and puzzles. He added rubiks cubes around age 7 and can solve quite a few now

Do you have many games? My puzzle loving 4 year old is really into games. Also marble runs.

Sadly my kid isn’t into puzzles, but the Ravensburger ones are really nice quality.

My dd is obsessed with puzzles and has been for years. She loves the 24 piece Melissa and Doug and the 48 piece floor puzzles. I have hated the other puzzles I’ve gotten, especially the character ones because they’re cheap, cardboard, and fall apart.

Her 4th birthday is coming up so I was looking for things for her. She has legos and magnatiles but isn’t as interested in them.
