I never had a blood test for progesterone levels after IUI. My clinic's standard practice was to prescribe progesterone supplements for all IUIs and embryo transfers.

I did not have a blood test for it though. I was given progesterone pills after each IUI that I took.

No, you cannot skip the first test. Throw on a mask and suck it up and go for both. I miscarried due to low progesterone and then had to be put on progesterone starting at 3dpo every cycle. You won’t know if you have low progesterone unless you go....so go.

If you’d rather take internet stranger’s advice over your own doctor perhaps it wasn’t the right time for you to seek medical treatment for infertility.
