I wake up at 5:00 to work out and am typically in bed by 10:00. I can't easily vary this or my life doesn't work and I end up annoyed. So I typically can't date restaurant industry people or musicians or anyone who works something other than 9-5. I have tried several times and end up crabby because I end up giving up sleep and workouts and they give up nothing.

OP here- OMG! I dated someone in a band in College. I see your point but if it’s a hobby not a profession I think it’s different.

Interesting that you don't list your own profession. Would you be willing to share? That might give some hints re: compatibility.

For me personally, I would have a tough time with work that takes place at off hours. Construction, hospital, anything with a night shift. Just like my sleep and consistent schedule.

I am divorced and decided post-Corona to start dating again. I’d like to know if there are certain professions you would recommend I should avoid dating. I am in my mid-40s and fit with a decent face but not drop dead gorgeous. I also make decent money in a professional career and own my own place. I value chemistry, how someone makes me feel, loyalty, a sense of adventure and I am drawn to outgoing types.
