Will you accept knowing it’s in NY?

Yep was on a call last night with the dean via Zoom and they are going through options. Kid loves it. And we were ready to go to W&M for half price.

Just curious if school can easily see kids on the waitlist who are full pay?

UChicago always uses their waitlist in April. That isn't news.

"Even more wait lists will move after May 1, when colleges know more about their enrollment numbers."

Wait lists may move even more as summer arrives and students make decisions based on the Covid-19 situation closer to Sept 1.

You or DC should withdraw from Pomona and Emory then.

It seems like in the past few years, once people started applying a bunch of colleges, they just want to rack up acceptances.

Wow, can’t believe Michigan’s waitlist moved, especially this early. It’s a very common school in my circles, but I’ve never known anyone get in off the waitlist. It will be interesting to see all the acceptance rates by the time the fall comes. Maybe we’re finally past the peak of admissions competition.

Did your child’s classmates write heartfelt letters of continued interest? Our DD opted to remain on two waitlists but didn’t submit additional materials. She wasn’t sure she would pick them over her acceptances but would’ve considered.

A couple of DC's classmates just got accepted off the WL at Michigan. She's also had friends get off WLs at Chicago, Barnard, and Wash U in the past week. Seeing as how Michigan has around a 2% WL acceptance rate, and typically not until after May 1, this year is clearly going to be different.

DC is on WL at dream school. We're more hopeful than we normally would be.

Please post any waitlist admissions that your DC or someone else you know receives.

Good luck to everyone out there on the WL this year!
