I love posts like this. The OP literally says they can’t. Why would they lie, PP? Go through the trouble of posting this and weighing the issue if they could just, you know, test drive the car.

np. It can be almost impossible to rent a specific type of car from a standard rental company.

I don't really care how cars drive. When I was younger I never had a choice of vehicle - I got hand me downs from relatives.

In my county in Maryland they will drive the car over to your house and let you test drive. All the car dealerships are advertising this service. They will bring the paperwork to your house.

The service departments are even driving out to your house to pick up your existing car to take it for service.

Call the dealerships. Believe me they will bring it out to your house to drive it. They will close the deal and do paperwork at your house in the driveway.

This is what I figured, but they are adamant they are not doing test drives. I asked if they are selling many vehicles this way and got radio silence. I even offered to put $500 down to test drive. Nope. Found such a great deal, too. It’s a shame.
