Our pool is currently hoping to open Jun 10. We’ll see.

I wish I liked kids. I could rake it in this summer.

I'd charge families $2,000/mo for up to 2 kids in 'camp'. Probably have 3 families at once. No kids under 5.

It’s sad that your kids can’t function without scheduled activities.

I hope that the kids will at least be able to roam the hood together

I had my kids talk to my parents about this exact issue. My parents grew up in the suburbs in the 1960s and never had one thing organized for the summer and loved it.

I actually think this will be good for my kids. We don’t have much screentime and none during the day so they’re going to have to get creative.

My kid are old enough to stay at home when I work but what the heck are they going to do home alone for 14 weeks? What about families with young kids? I suppose it will be a terrific time to be a college babysitter.

Wait, what? Did you get a notice of this? My girls are signed up for 3 different sessions and I havent heard anything!

They will do what poor kids do every summer.

Stay at home, watch TV, read, play in the yard, and play games like we did in the old days... especially if we were poor or middle class.

They will survive, and maybe become more creative.

Bike, draw, read, watch TV, chores, water the lawn, mow the grass, more biking, drawing, reading, TV, and chores. They could try cooking. And there's this magical, popular thing called the Internets - which is endless!

They'll do what kids did for years during the summer. They'll read, watch TV, etc. They'll survive.
