My maternity leave ended 2 weeks before COVID shelter in place started. Anyone else in a similar situation? I've basically been in my house non-stop since September. I do think I'm going a bit insane, really. On my maternity leave I went to moms' groups to get social interaction, but it's still isolating. Shelter-in-place is actually easier for me because now everyone is isolated with me. Also, it's better because the days are longer and lighter (the winter darkness really got to me on mat leave). That said, I'm still struggling with the ongoing isolation. It's been nearly 8 months. This year is so weird.
On the plus side, it's easier to keep nursing my baby since I'm home with him. I wasn't sure how long I'd last with pumping, but I think this will help me get farther. I'd love to get him to 12 mo but even 9 or 10 months would be great.
