If the spring season is cancelled vs postponed, then I think partial refunds should be issued for fees the club did not incur - eg field rentals, referee fees, etc. I don’t have a problem with keeping fees for coaches salaries. However. I don’t think the clubs should profit due to covid cancellations.

For what it’s worth, one of my DC swims competitively year round. Fairfax County is issuing a refund for the pool rental. The club is passing this savings back to the parents. That seems extremely fair.

Here’s the truth of the matter if you have the money pay it I know we will be. These coaches and the clubs depend on this financial stability. I think that people forget that if we don’t put in to their programs they may not survive which means that our children will not have a place to go to play when all this is said and done. Here’s the truth of the matter if you have the money. I know we will be. These coaches and the clubs depend on this financial stability. You are probably the same person who wants a tax refund because schools are not in session. Lets not pay our teachers either unless we are getting a tax refund! You are a real piece of work.

Did you read the whole post? If the season doesn’t happen then refunds get distributed. But the season will happen don’t worry. I know you guys all think you know everything but you don’t. Phase 2 will happen in June, relax.

I will always want full payment upfront for my kid. And I never commit him to more than two years with any club. I'm worried that the clubs won't pay as much this year though .

I would sign a contract that deferred the majority of fees until play resumed. I would support the club, but I'm not coughing up the whole shot on an assumption that play will return.
