OP here. We went yesterday 4-6pm. It was cloudy for the first 15 minutes and then beautiful. We saw 50 or so people, mostly walking or running couples. One running pair of young 20 tech bros (talking about 1000x exits while wearing Patagonia vests...) did not move over at all as the four of us (two adults and two small kids) climbed up the side and stood in the grass to let them pass. That was annoying on a number of levels. But everyone else was very polite and half the people wore face coverings.

We went last week during the early morning and there were very few people. I would think weekends would be crowded.

Went around 7 pm Sunday and we were only ones there. Entered at Swains Lock.

Drove along the Clara Barton parkway yesterday afternoon and the lock parking lots were packed. While the entrance to Carderock park was blocked off, there were tons of cars parked along the side of the road there. That tells me it was pretty busy.

I live north of the falls and it has not been crowded.

We went a few weeks ago closer in to DC and it was crowded. We went Saturday up near Sharpsburg, MD and saw 3 other people.

Has anyone been lately and how busy is it? I imagine it's pretty busy so we haven't even tried, but perhaps I'm wrong... TIA
