DH is insisting we send ours back tomorrow. (Not sure what will happen tomorrow morning as we've already spent yesterday and today locked in knock-down, drag-out fighting.)
Our daycare never closed but has very few students currently attending and also has very strict safety protocols. I'm a basketcase over it all, but thank you for posting as it makes me feel less like we're the only ones.
Our class has two kids attending and one only goes until lunchtime. We’re not going but are in touch with one of the families.

I would but my kids don’t get sick from daycare for what we reason - each has had one illness before K (strep for one, a single ear infection for one, and HFM for the final one). I get why others might be more gun shy.

Going to wait for the cases and deaths in the DMV to.settle down and then maybe 2 weeks after things reopen to see if there is a spike after.

What stats or indicators would make you feel better, given the lack of testing available? It’s not like they can test all kids and teachers every day before coming in.

It’s still way too early to tell. If older kid doesn’t have camp this summer, I may as well keep younger child home too.

Yeah I want things back to normal as much as the next person, but not at the risk of others. Since I can work from home and have flex hours (which I acknowledge is a huge privilege), I am going to be cautious.

I’m not for awhile. If our daycare reopens, I’m still going to wait until the inevitable bump passes. I can keep working from home. DD is 2.

I think most people will hang on until their employers make them go back to offices or their employers say you can’t wfh with kids.

Assuming your daycare reopened and took proper steps (sanitizing, hand washing, etc), when would you feel comfortable sending your kids back?
