There are a couple of parks that do not get visited and have not been roped off.

I have 3YO twins and have been teaching them different makes of cars during our neighborhood walks. Now they get excited identifying the ones they recognize.

Go find a big flat parking lot, take their trikes/bikes/scooters/bubble mowers

Do another Easter egg hunt in your yard or a big field, fill with blueberries/pretzels/raspberries/anything you find that fits and doesn’t cause a massive sugar rush

Let them take backpacks full of toys out to the car and play in the back (while the car just sits in the driveway)

Get out the hose and sprayer, let them wash bird poop off your car. Warm soapy water and sponges are fun to play with

Races across the yard; pick an animal they have to act like each time (bunny, frog, elephant)

Dump toys in the bath with shaving cream and let them play

These are probably all tips I picked up from DCUM at some point

2 yo and 5 yo here.

In addition to hikes, we've had good luck at a nearby green space that is small and usually free.

We bring:

- some balls
- stomp rockets
- a big soft frisbee thing

Also there are some trees and we do family relay races, making up different things you have to do from one tree to another.

We're living on the edge here, I know it.

We are all feeling stir crazy. What can we do outside aside from cycling and hiking? We have a 4 and a 2 year old.
