Teething doesn’t cause a fever that high. Impossible to diagnose via internet advice. Call your pediatrician/nurse advice line to ask; could be ear infection with ear pain making the child irritable for example. Don’t see the wisdom of sitting on a young child with evidence of acute infection before asking for medical help, why would you even hesitate to call?

I can pretty much guarantee that it’s one of those weird kid fevers and totally unrelated to COVID 19. However, these are scary times. Call the pediatrician or nurse just so you can sleep. Only use Tylenol just to be same - no baby Advil.

he was warm waking up but didn’t have a fever, around 3pm he had a forehead temp of 100.
I gave him infant Tylenol, he’s really irritable would not ear anything but his grapes.

Now, he’s at 102.. so I don’t know what to do or think right now.

His only symptom is the fever, he hasn’t been coughing or a congestion

When should I start reaching out to pedi/nurse line?
