The weather there is nice. Four seasons, but a milder winter than here.

Because of the tech sector, there’s a huge Indian population in and around Cary. I visit there 6-8 times a year. I don’t know much about the schools there. My friends have young adults. I would like to move there next year. I’m tired of the DC area.

Pollen allergies are way worse there.

I lived there for three years and the pollen never bothered me. My allergies are much worse here.

The RTP area has one of the highest concentrations of PhDs in the US, and draws scholars and professionals from around the world. It’s where I became an atheist liberal. I would not in any way describe it as primarily conservative or religious.

Raleigh is absolutely lovely. I used to visit often. Schools used to be extremely good in the area where my family lived - Apex/Cary. They haven't been doing as well lately.

Raleigh, area schools are not great.

Apex is ok as is Cary. Both are extremely conservative not much diversity if you care. Typical surburban areas.

North Raleigh not good for schools at all.

Bec areful with schools in the Raleigh area. Just because you are in a neighborhood does not mean you will be zoned for the local schools.

Broughton HS is a large HS cluster. Schools are huge.

There are magnet HS but those are more about busing then about education.

It's a conservative, religious area. Not saying that's good or bad, just something to know.

Near Raleigh is Chapel Hill. They have better schools.

This work from home thing is making me think of moving. Raleigh seems nice. Do you know of any good school pyramids?
