I agree with OP. Most of the time the old threads are re-awakened by someone who is just trying to be a sh-it-stirrer. Its obnoxious.

I’ve also asked about this and been told “not now”

The date is super tiny when you’re on a phone, and it’s super annoying to take the time to reply to something time sensitive only to later see the thread is a year old.

Guess what—you’re input isn’t that important.

I think “there” concern is more about their wasted time.

Autocorrect spelled out “you’re.” However, no one should be concerned about wasting time if they’re on here.

OP here. Me, too. I just like to know when I'm reading something old.

If you can use your eyes to read the goddam thread you can use them to read the date. Please. what a time waster.

If it's important to you the date is very easy to find.

I forget to look, make the mistake, resolve to pay attention to dates, and then pretty soon forget to look again.

There have been several revivals of very, very old threads lately. Is there a way to indicate old threads on the Recent Topics page and the Forum Index pages? Maybe with a red asterisk if the thread is over 2 years old or something?

I think there is a lot of value in old threads, and updates are always fun, but sometimes I click on a thread, read through and comment, before realizing it's all moot for the OP.
