Play doctor. Get out the doc mcstuffins toys, mom doesn’t feel good, I just lay down and let them give me shots.

Also my 5YO lobes beating on my back with his toy tools. Ever had a massage with a plastic screwdriver? Surprisingly nice

This is really good! I’m going to steal this one.

I am loving these. I am pregnant and have a massive headache. We may have to play many of these today!

"Let a Sleeping Gator Lie" -- everyone lies down close together and tries to not move and be as quiet as possible so the gator doesn't wake up; it tends to induce quiet giggles that eventually erupts into hysterical laughter.

We do similar games.
Mommy can be the burrito. Needs to be taken out of freezer, wrapped. Then the burrito scares her for a while. Then out into microwave, cooled off and eaten. Start again with another burrito.

Also a hiding dinosaur game. 4 year old and I ate wrapped I'm under blankets together being triceratops hiding from a tyrannosaurus. Stick our heads out to check if it's gone. She gets up and runs around to see if it's really done. Sometimes the trex comes back and she needs to hide with me again.

20+ min of me laying down. Awesome.

I got my preschoolers to give me a relaxing back massage by drawing shapes on my back and me "guessing" what they are (obviously with lots of incorrect guesses).

DP. This has been a favorite with each of my kids from about 3 to about 5.

Playing "directions" ball. This is an extra win for me since my son is language-delayed and needs extra help with things like prepositions. I just sit on the couch and say "Throw the ball UNDER the table" "Throw the ball INTO the basket" "Throw the ball AT the CENTER of the couch."

Hahaha good for you and your kids! Try to incorporate a silence rule. The giant can't catch you if it can't hear you. If you can get them to stop screaming as you flail your arms, report back.

Invented a game called “sleeping giant” where I lay on the floor in a blanket. 5 year old and 18 month old tip toe around me until I roar and try to tag them and they have to run away. If they get tagged they become the giant. I have never tagged one of them. Sometimes I don’t even sit up, I just wave my arms menacingly. I get at least 20 min of laying down time a day since I invented this game.

Anyone else have game they invented that really just is an excuse to lay down?!
