Not unsurprisingly this list shows the strong preference among the families/students for the best Catholic colleges.

Our daughter is 1, and we are moving to the area in about 6 months. They are appealing because they have a preschool that would include children that young. To be honest we're a little anxious to just get settled into a school. The early childhood and Pre k is a big appeal.

OP what grade are you considering? We have a daughter in the lower school and are very happy there. It’s a warm community with a good group of teachers, parents and kids.

It seems more independent school than Catholic school to me. That's one reason I found it intriguing. We are Catholic, but not especially serious about it or interested in a Catholic education.

I know very little about Catholic schools but I've noticed a surprisingly large number of my like minded Catholic friends prefer Stone Ridge to other Catholic school alternatives. I don't know why. I've also noticed their sports teams are pretty good, at least compared to non-Catholic DC private schools.

It's a good school, not particularly rigorous or competitive. A lot of really nice girls go there. It tends to attract a more sporty type of girl, like Katie Ledecky.
