Whitman hands down. Sorry folks, not wanting to cause a riot but you know its true.
Best options - look at the academics offered, in the sciences there's the possibility of taking a bio-medicine track
in the languages they have the most options in the county
and the best outcomes in terms of grads going onto top colleges (there is a list printed every year and its usually linked by someone in the colleges thread).

OP, there is no such thing as "the best high school in Montgomery County." Move to a home you can afford (rent or buy), in a neighborhood you like, with transportation (e.g., commutes, travel to school) that works for you.
I was going to say the same. There is no best high school plus if your son has his heart set on IB, he could enter as a junior if RM is his high school.
That being said, which cluster has the house you like the most? Which is convenient to your job? Which neighborhoods do you like the most?

Most MoCo HSs will be good for most kids. Some do have specialty offerings if you have a kid who is really into art, dance, engineering, etc. But most will be good for most kids.
+1 even if your kid is waitlisted for IB magnet, your DC can join the program in 11th grade without having to go through the same application process for magnet. Each year, there are about 50 or so RM local students who join the IB program in 11th. They also have a great theater program.

Thank you! I don't understand why some posters on this forum feel the need to bash on all but a certain group of schools.
We're lucky to have good HS's in MoCo, considering the state of the elementary and middle schools.

My sister's kids have had great experiences at Richard Montgomery. "Local" kids can take IB classes in 11th and 12th grade, and I think there may be an opportunity to go full IB diploma in 11th and 12th if your kid is already there. I'm not sure though, my sister's kids have not done that. They do have great, diverse friend groups.

Your choice of schools are good. Regardless of what people say, it always comes down to W-schools, BCC, and magnets. Other schools are no good. There I said it.

OP, MCPS is lucky to have several strong high schools. It's not all about the W schools, despite what people on here like to think.

Best is hard to say.
My DS is a graduating senior at Whitman. Overall very strong, good experience for all sorts of kids. Close community and parent support and lots of class options for high achievers but also others. Cons are lack of diversity, can be too big and impersonal for some.
BCC is more urban and more diverse.
But your list is more similar to each other than different.
