If you are going to replace it just cover it with pvc bead board sheets or something similar.

Another vote to work with what you can - bring in a neutral to ground the pink (white, navy, gray, etc.)

I’ve seen painted over tiles and never liked the way it looked, so when we moved into a house with a pink bathroom we embraced it. We got vintage (or vintage look, but not too kitschy or over the top) soap dispenser, mirror, etc. Our towels and shower curtain complemented the pink rather than try to neutralize it. We added plants, which looked really nice against the green. It was never not going to be a pink bathroom, but it wasn’t terrible.

I agree with the PPs. I am the owner of pink, yellow, and green bathrooms. I considered painting over the tiles but after hours of researching the process I changed my mind. It’s not worth the hassle. The bathrooms are a huge eyesore but what helps is not fighting the colors. I included the bathroom color in accessories for the bathroom - that helped a lot. Now the bathrooms are just there. You don’t notice them and don’t hate them until you see an updated bathroom. I say save your money and time and get what you really want when you can.

Yes! Check out the Rustoleum paint made for tile floors. I think it is called Rock Solid. We used it on tile in our basement and it looks terrific. It says you don’t have to sand first but I did (before finding the Rustoleum paint). So far very durable.

You can but why not consider keeping it and rocking the vintage? I would paint the wall a deep navy or a black, bring in some texture, with a rattan stand where you can house baskets, kerp storage boxes, bring in a pop of flowers, maybe even a gallery wall.

I forget which company but we had one come in years ago. The pink wall tiles are now white. The pink and black floor tiles are gray. It’s been probably five years and looks great.

Yup! Tutorials abound. Painted over pink in one bathroom and yellow in another (1940's post-war cape cod). Super easy. Prep is key, use the right primer and have at it!

Yes, but you have to send the heck out of it first to adhere, then use the correct paint. There are businesses that do it but reviews are hit and miss. The prep is 90% of the work to make sure it doesn't peel and goes on evenly. Rustoleum and Valspar make good products for this.
