Kids who play travel play during the summer all over the country. People are smart and don't schedule games in the middle of the day and the sub often and make kids drink water. They also take game breaks.

I agree. We see pre-teens regularly playing in area summer camps from morning to late afternoon (and at some, in the evening again). Absolutely appropriate rests and hydration are necessary, but they are routinely done. One game with adequate subs should not be a problem.

It’s almost like there’s no options except to play in the evenings.

I've seen bad heat stroke from players that were in peak condition. It is scary.

Coaches don't always notice it and don't have their players best interest in mind. They often don't have shade or water breaks in the game.

They would need either crack of dawn games or evening games. Nothing between 10am-5pm.

Good point

And the majority of players will be not in 'game' condition. Disaster for heat stroke.

Good point. But a lot of the kids are doing this during summers anyway. Probably want to try to play these on grass. On the other hands, the scheduling should be wide open with kids out of school.

Sorry. Head of USYC says they are trying to get clubs and leagues ready to play this summer, subject to lockdown lifts. A little more detail than that but that is the essence. Similar message from CCL saying they are creating June/July schedule in the event that playing becomes permissible.
