I thought the checks were supposed to start with the people who have the lowest incomes. Is that only for people getting actual checks vs direct deposit?

We have a pending deposit from the IRS of $171.00. AGI about $225K (married filing jointly) and 3 dependents.

Really weird-even if you maxed a 401k and an HSA it is still a stretch to get AGI down to that much. But maybe you have something you were able to do in addition that is a rarer filing situation.

If you max retirement contributions to a work plan, that could pit you below the stimulus check threshold.

At 101K assuming you aggressively did things like fund your 401k you should get something.

That’s odd. What were your AGIs? It would be hard to get those $100k plus incomes down all the way to $75k where you qualify for $1700, so definitely a little strange.

The direct deposit is in my account though it's dated for the 15th.
Both my husband and I received one (me for $1700 and him for $1800), though we both made over 100k in 2018. We have not yet filed for 2019.
We have two children and we each claim one each. We file married/single.
I'm so confused, but I admittedly do not understand taxes much at all.
