I’m busy. Working and parenting all day. Then dinner and evening routine.

Yes! There seems to be this idea that we are all lounging around all day watching tv.

Funny thing is I was using Zoom fairly often before this, never with video. All of a sudden people want video. Yeah, no thanks.

They have to be mostly single or without kids because that's completely outrageous.

Hate both. I feel like everyone is shouting. The kids get get super silly and hide, run around, more shouting to the computer, me shouting to them to come out from wherever they are and say hi...it is just not my cup of tea. I’d rather be anti social or just text for the next while.

My 7 year old chats with his friends on kids messenger, facetime or zoom. We do a family facetime with my family and DH mother twice a week. DS loves the time with his friends. I appreciate the time with my family. I have not done happy hours or the like.

I hate FT.

My oldest loves FT play dates and can totally get into pretend games for over an hour with friends, so that’s a win in my book. Socializing and being occupied.

I have Zoom meetings all day while I attempt to juggle work and kids. There’s no way I have any desire to zoom with anyone after hours.

Yes. I turned down a Zoom "girls happy hour" with colleagues. I'd love to catch up with them but parenting a 1 year old and a 5 year old while working from home is kicking my butt.

We don’t do them. I have young kids and they are my priority. Our social life before this consisted of whole-family get-togethers, not girls/guys night outs where they can complain about their spouses and kids. We do FT as a family about 2x/week and that’s it. I communicate via text a lot with friends and family.

+ 1000 I'm the busiest I've ever been. If someone gave me crap about not having time for a personal zoom call I'd lose my mind.

All day long friends and family are trying to video chat and while it was nice at first to connect it has become really annoying and people seem offended when we say we aren’t available. The biggest challenge is that my kids really don’t like to FaceTime so it’s like pulling teeth to get them to talk for two seconds before running off and getting into trouble since I can’t get off the call so quickly.

Anyone else feel the same?
