We’re hiring a nanny. DH can’t work from home anymore (essential) and I can’t work and teach/care for a 6 and 2 yr old alone. I’ll send my older child back to school in September but won’t send my toddler back to daycare.

No! September at the earliest but we’re working out never sending them back.

Nothing will open in June, or July. Not until there is treatment, or vaccine, or 330 million test kits.

The same thing I'm doing now. Cobble together WFH on a weird schedule when the kid is otherwise occupied or being watched by my spouse.

No. I'll wait a few weeks to see what the infection rate looks like. Thinking we'll likely send back in July, assuming it opens to the public in June.

Yep. Mine is there every other week, as I am essential and am going to work every other week.

I’m so torn. I want to send DD back and she misses it but we have a newborn so the increased risk worries me. Will have to see what the world is like when the time actually comes to make this decision.

Well assuming everythign is reopening then yes. If they open May 1 then no.

If/when daycare reopens will you be the first to send your kids back? I am hesitant about sending them back but then again we are paying for it and I need childcare.
