Let alone in your secluded front walk. I know it protects OTHERS, but your child would need to projectile cough or sneeze, with no wind, and you'd have to inhale it or touch the droplets and then lick your fingers.

They don't. But If this is the difference between paranoid parents keeping their kids indoors 24/7 and letting their kids outside, it's fine.

Wearing masks protects you from getting it, more than the wearer. You may never know why the child is wearing it, it's allergy season. It also gives a peace of mind to the parents, perhaps.

Yes, the whole situation is very sad. However, it makes me more sad we've been and are being lied to collectively, and that we've been lulled into complacency as a result.

There are some cute masks out there. This is not forever.
Be safe out there everyone.

when you wear a mask it's really to do other people a favor, which I do think is nice.

I don't think it is necessary outdoors but I am not going to complain if someone else does it.

Every person/friend on my IG thread today posted their child in a mask on a walk/stroller. And most of my friends got masks for their kids to wear. I am the only one who didn't.

This makes me profoundly sad. Do children need to wear masks in their front yard? Do they need to wear masks if they are riding in the stroller on a walk?

(In a neighborhood/secluded subduction, not NYC or even DC).
