And this is where things go off the rails.

I would not go there over any other ivy except may be Cornell. Any Ivy, Dartmouth, than Cornell. Non-Ivy, I would choose Northwestern or Duke above it. So yes it depends what you are comparing to and what the alternatives are.

That is the order. Anything else is out.

The government department is excellent. One fun/interesting aspect of the department is the fact the once during any government major's time at Dartmouth - the NH primary happens, and it is a prime opportunity to meet all the candidates that come through many times and get a front row seat to American politics.

Happy school. Great if you love the outdoors or want to experience it/learn new outdoor pursuits.

DD is a freshman at Dartmouth. Lots of resources for politically oriented students and excellent acapella groups. The theatre community is active but small

+1 Dartmouth is a beautiful school. If he doesn’t mind cold weather it’s a fine option. Hard to answer your question without understanding your son’s interests and other options but presumably he knows more about how it is since he applied there.

I hope you all are doing well in this very difficult time. So my son was recently accepted to Dartmouth College; he has yet to commit to a school, so we wanted to know if anyone has experience with Dartmouth. Please let us know the pros/cons and the benefit of an Ivy League education.
