International travel is done unless you're flying privately.

Depends what you like/want to see. Could do a few days each in Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, maybe add Tasmania, or the parks like Uluru-Kata Tjuta and Kakadu.

I think 3 days in Tokyo first then on to Australia!

I think I'd spend more time in Japan. Tokyo + smaller cities.

I did it in 10 days, mainlly to break up the long trip. My layover was in Singapore so I spent a few days there, then flew to Sydney and the rest of the trip there.

Pick only one city in each country if it'll be that short of a timespan -- don't hope around.

Keep in mind the weather may be completely different (summer & winter), which may be tough to pack for and physically adjust to.

We've been to both more than once. Yes, it's a crazy idea. But it's your life and your money and your choices.

Can you share why you are thinking this? There was literally just some articles warning about a likely surge in Tokyo.
Also, I suspect that countries are going to start insisting on quarantine for anyone coming from U.S.

If you want people to just talk to you about traveling to those places for future planning--fine, but if you keep talking about "in two weeks" all we are going to tell you is... no.

I think op means “over the span of 2 weeks” not in 2 weeks time from today.

Absolutely no way. Maybe next year.

Is this a crazy idea? (Yes Yes I know. We are never traveling again. Pipe dream, etc etc etc..) Has anyone gone to two very different places in one vacation? Share your experiences!
