Um no they won’t. Not everyone in DC is a basket case. Everyone will not have trauma. It’s a really long summer break. My kid is as happy as a clam.

Not true. The Mayor hasn't presented her budget yet. The CFO is revising revenue projections and gave a very grim report to the Council a few weeks ago. I'm at a charter and we were told to budget several scenarios from a 0% increase to a decrease for 2020-2021.

I do not disagree - but where are the kids going to go? And where is this $ coming from? I would assume if anything, there are going to be some schools that were close to flipping from Title 1 funding and may stay as people had lost income / more children who qualify for FARMs.

DCPS draft budget was already out - and there were cuts from this year - and DC is reaching deep into the rainy day fund.

Probably to get ready for the next round of distance learning. My SIL’s district already put out feelers for people with online learning certificates.
