OP, would you mind sharing if your DC has been accepted to both? My DC is a junior and is interested in UNC and UVA, as well. We are also OOS. As a complete outsider to both schools, I'm always curious to read the opinions posted. Thank you!

UVA. UNC’s state system is a mess. UVA also has a larger proportion of out-of-state students, meaning the student body is more geographically diverse.

OOS tuition for both changed things. I thought you meant IS for UNC and OOS for UVA.

My thread title may not be clear. We are DC residents so both are OOS.

If UNC is in state and UVA is OOS, the two schools are roughly equal so go with the cheaper one. If both are OOS, you're paying bank anyway so go with the one you love.
