Grateful for a porch, where DH and I do HH with our baby weather permitting. Grateful for an enclosed rainfall shower/tub that I can take candlelit baths in. Grateful for my own office, grateful DH has his basement man cave to work from.

Grateful for:

-Big private yard
-Guest room that we were able to covert into office
-one story ranch style house with separate "wings" - feels more spacious than it is.

(I have a couple things I'm NOT pleased with, but I won't be mentioning them here)

My yard/property. Plenty of space for the kids to run around plus a large wooded area. We are creating a trail there now which is great for exercise, we do science lessons in the woods, and every day I take a walk in the woods to get a break from teaching my kids. I had been pretty down on this place (we moved from DC to a more rural area) but now I’m very glad I don’t live in a tiny rowhouse with a very small yard.

we love our 8800sf house, its been actually awesome to use it rather than being away doing sports, vacation and work.

I’ve always loved our tiny 1200 sq ft house.
It’s not big enough for our stuff, but it had lots of natural light and it’s very cute.

I am grateful that our house has lots of light and enough rooms for all the kids to distance learn (even if they have to be in bedrooms).

I love to decorate. I work in a non-creative profession and it's always something that I've done in my free time. Antique stores, estate sales, art shows, etc. I love working from home in my house now. My toddlers have destroyed it with toys currently, but I still like the wall colors, the art, the rugs and my furniture. Frankly I love everything about my house and it's not so bad to be quarantined here.

I like that our house is three stories so that the four of us can each have a relatively quiet place to work.

The garden (it's small and undistinguished but it is great right now to putter around outside), the big windows and the ceiling fans.

We were out of our house for 10 months last year due to a renovation triggered by a plumbing leak/flood. (In other words, a renovation that was forced upon us, not undertaken by choice.) I am SO grateful to be back in our house period, but especially grateful for our finished basement and our updated kitchen.

I am glad for the space and large yard. We’ve been complaining about the maintenance - particularly lawn upkeep - but so thankful for it now.

I really need a bidet.

I am so grateful for our basement, yard, and powder room. The powder room makes washing hands easier for my kids, the yard gives them something to do, and the basement just gives us a little more breathing room. I never wanted a house this big (and really it’s not huge) but now I’m so grateful for the space.

I feel like many people are realizing all the house projects they want to do, but to flip the script a little bit and focus on gratitude, I would love folks to answer the following: Since you’ve been stuck at home, what are either your favorite things about your house, or things you are unexpectedly grateful for?

I’ll go first— when we bought our house, there was a bidet in one bathroom. It was not something we ever used, but in this time of TP shortage, I’m glad we have it!
