Prob not Burke Lake. We didn't go, but drove by - miles of cars parked outside the park. Entry is blocked for cars, but walkers still entering.

Go early-ish in the morning or late afternoon. We’ve had a lot of luck with empty trails at those times.

We went to several of the Seneca/Poolesville, MD C&O access points (Violet's Lock, Swain's Lock, etc) that are usually empty. Everything was packed!!!

there’s a trail that runs from Algonkian park to River Bend. Not well marked or cleared.

You can search trails by “solitude” level here https://www.hikingupward.com/maps/full_map.asp
I worry that every trail everywhere is overrun now.

We live in Herndon. We’ve done the bike trails and Great Falls, Riverbend.
Any less populated areas you’d recommend?
