So if it cuts off at 40 mins, can you then wait a minute and call back to resume the conversation?

Yes, you can log back in

I heard about the 40 minute limit as well, but this past week I was a few zoom calls that were over 40 and they didn’t cut off. Did they get rid of the limit?

Schools don't have a 40 minute limit. Could also have been a corporate paid account.

Ah ok, I signed up with my dcps account. Thanks that makes sense.

I’m a teacher. I didn’t see a way to note that when I signed up. Was my MCPSMD email account the tip off?

It's the freemium model. Lure you in with free, get you to pay if you want more features. Like a lot of apps and services.

It’s free for a 40 minute call, then it cuts off. It’s good marketing for them. They’re also giving free accounts to schools from now until the end of the school year.

I've used zoom a few times for work and it seems great. They have a free version that I'm considering so I can do virtual playdates for my kids. What's the catch? Why is it free? Seems too good to be true. Any insights appreciated.
